Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the GetDataScrub website and the DataScrub and NonprofitReports Excel add-ins handle information.
Workbook and general-ledger data
The add-ins process workbook contents locally through Microsoft Excel on the Windows computer. They do not upload cell values, formulas, general-ledger transactions, financial statements, imported documents, or generated reports to GetDataScrub for processing.
Trial and licensing information
When a trial or license is checked, the software communicates with the licensing service. Depending on the request, the service may process:
- Hashed machine and installation identifiers
- Trial start, last-verification, and expiry timestamps
- License key, status, expiry, and permitted device information
- A short-lived hash derived from network information for abuse prevention and rate limiting
- Product version and update-check information
The trial service is designed not to store raw hardware identifiers. Signed trial status is cached locally using Windows data protection so limited offline use can be supported between verifications.
Website and downloads
This site is hosted through GitHub Pages. Product downloads and online licensing functions may be delivered through Supabase. Those providers may process standard service logs such as IP address, browser or client information, timestamps, requested paths, and error information for security and operation of their services.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. GetDataScrub does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. Stripe processes payment and billing information under its own privacy terms.
Why information is used
Information is used to provide and protect trials, activate and manage licenses, prevent abuse, report update availability, process purchases, diagnose service failures, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers only as needed to host the site, deliver files, operate licensing, process payments, secure the services, or satisfy lawful requests. GetDataScrub does not sell workbook data or licensing identifiers.
Retention and security
Records are retained for the period reasonably required to operate trials, subscriptions, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance. Technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may choose not to use the online trial or licensing service. In that case, trial activation, paid activation, deactivation, and update status may not function. Requests concerning personal information may be sent to the email address shown on your purchase receipt or to jkisarale@gmail.com.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the products, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top identifies the current published version.
